Friday Update: Fan Friday and More Story

This week’s update will make all the art and lore fans happy.  First up, Fan Friday.  The Community Creations section features fan art, animated Jawa smilies, and a choose-your-own-adventure style comic.  Next, a Developer’s Corner look at the creation of Kaas City, the Empire’s capital.  Senior Concept Artist Ryan Dening gives us another step-by-step demonstration of taking a concept and turning it into a finished piece of artwork.  New Bounty Hunter avatars and Ithorian smilies round out the artistic portion of this week’s update.

It wouldn’t be Fan Friday without a couple more polls!  The first asks, “Who is your favorite character in the Blood of the Empire webcomic series?”  The second poll asks, “Which class are you planning on trying out first?”  This was asked in a Character Classes thread about a year ago.  It will be interesting to see how those numbers compare with the more recent poll.

The second update, “New Biographies,” introduces three new characters to the Biographies section of the Holonet.  For the Empire, we have Imperial spymaster known only as “Keeper.”  For the Independents, ex-Republic general Bouris Ulgo.  And for the Republic, disillusioned diplomat Diab Duin.

The last sentence of the “New Biographies” update teases us with the hint of companion characters being added to the Biographies page, but fails to say which of the ones added will be companions.
