EA Winter Showcase — Darth Hater Article
Darth Hater scooped everyone with a fantastic round up of all the information learned at the EA Games Winter Showcase in London.  Details of the Alderaan warzone include 8v8 teams, battle for control of gun turrets to destroy enemy capital ship, a classic capture and hold objective.  Also, a teaser about another warzone involving a derelict ship with a completely different objective.  Crafting details include a crew skill system, in which players will task their companions to complete crafting objectives such as gathering mats, finding valuable items, going on diplomatic missions, creating usuable items such as stimpaks and implants for player toon.  Read full Darth Hater article here.

Friday Update, “Warzones in Star Wars: The Old Republic” video
The official Friday update gave us a thrilling video, “Warzones in Star Wars: The Old Republic.” Voice-overs call out objectives and updates on ground activities.  Speederbikes zoom players back to the battlefield.  Republic and Imperial players battle to control the gun turrets.  If this video doesn’t make you want to love PvP, nothing will.    Watch the full video here.  See screenshots from Alderaan warzone here.

Companions in PvP? Bowdaar appears  at the :26 and :34 mark, seeming to confirm that companions will be a part of PvP.  Also, more than eight members are seen on a team at :29 (someone steps into screen at far right) and at :34 (team members behind Zabrak on far left, and behind Consular with double light saber).  Will companions play an active role or merely run alongside at various points?

Jedi Wizard, Begone!
Finally, BioWare gives the fans a chance to re-name the much-maligned Jedi Wizard.  Check out the official forums poll and choose from Jedi Sage, Jedi Seer, Jedi Adept, and – yes, in case you happen to like the original suggestion – Jedi Wizard.  You can vote until Dec 2nd here.

Consular Advanced Class tree will be made of three branches: Shadow, Balance, and (Wizard).  In the (Wizard) branch, the abilities will fall under Telekinetics and Seer.  See screen shot here.
