Crafters got look at a fourth Crafting specialization, Armstech, the art of making the ultimate blaster. In a Developer’s Blog, Patrick Malott, discussed how a casual crafter will easily be able to assemble the lowest quality Premium blaster with common materials and get “excellent” use out of it. For crafters who want to invest more time and capital, the mid-level Prototype quality and highest-level Artifact quality will require longer completion times, more valuable components, and a bit of luck for the rare schematics.
Malott also reiterated a common theme we’ve been hearing from the devs: that players will have to turn to other players for their crafting needs, whether that be a crafted piece for a blaster cannon or a completed piece only a very few players can make. He promised that fans will be hearing more about what role crafting will play in the economy in future reveals.
Other significant reveals:
- 5 companions at bench + 5 queued crafting tasks per companion = up to 25 crafting tasks queued at once.
- Affection Rating can determine companion’s effectiveness at crafting. For example, your doted-upon companion might make things faster, so be ready with those bouquets of flowers and boxed chocolates.
