Today’s the day to fly your Geek flag high! In 2006 geeks in Spain started Geek Pride Day by gathering to form a human Pac Man game. They chose May 25th because it was the day the ultimate geek movie, the original Star Wars flick (now known as Episode IV) was released nationwide.
This day also has significance for Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Fans, who celebrate Towel Day by carrying a towel around with them all day. In addition, Discworld fans remember the Glorious 25th of May as the day the people rose up against the nobility.
