Stephen Reid, the Senior Online Community Manager for Star Wars The Old Republic, addressed an article by Shacknews, concerning a staggered launch. In the article, Shacknews talks about not everyone who pre-ordered will get in at launch. Stephen Reid stated in his reply to the article…
Shacknews apparently got confused, and they’re confusing you, so allow me to clarify. Nothing has actually changed since we announced pre-order access in July.
Everyone who pre-orders Star Wars: The Old Republic and redeems their pre-order code will get Early Game Access. Those who do this will be able to download the game client and play the game ahead of the release date.
More from Stephen Reid’s post after the Jump…
Stephen goes on to address that although all the details or timing of Early Game Access are ready to be announced, they are making plans for those who pre-ordered and redeemed their code. There will also be made downloads for those who pre-ordered a physical copy, to still take advantage of their Early Game Access. Stephen went on to state how the Early game Access, will be based upon when you pre-ordered and redeemed your code.

Good, that was what I was expecting. I’m glad to see that is the case.
@Elkatt I am glad of that myself. I’m ordering the physical copy and was hoping to still be a part of any Early Access 🙂
