Star Wars fan Kristina Alexanderson is getting a lot of attention for her clever scenes of father-son bonding activities. She started her project on tumblr during the summer of 2010 and has created more than 500 images — a fishing trip, playing hopscotch, looking at a spiderweb, etc.

The genius of these photos is the feelings they evoke in the viewer. At first, they are straight-up funny. But then they begin to stir up a natural emotional response to images of parenthood and the pictures become poignant. Then, it’s right back to silly as you remember you’re looking at Stormtrooper toys.
