*Update!* The Non-disclosure portion of the Game Testing Agreement has, in fact, been lifted, as of Friday November 18th. Feel free to discuss your testing experience so far, but be courteous to those who wish to avoid story spoilers. For details, see the original announcement post and the FAQ post on the SWTOR forums.

During my most recent session of “Let’s stalk Stephen Reid’s Twitter for every possible piece of information,” I noticed two of Mr. Reid’s responses to questions that seem to hint at the possibility of the NDA being lifted before the next Beta Weekend, which happens November 25th-28th. Read on, and make your own interpretations!

Here they are:

dwsms: Will I be allowed to have mates over and try the #betaweekend so I can lure them into #swtor – or would that be breaking the nda?

Stephen: Stay tuned…

and…

zaznet: Can guilds post a server name to meet up for the upcoming mega beta weekend? We don’t want to break NDA but want to meet in-game.

Stephen: Not yet…

There you have it, and make of it what you will! To me, this seems to imply that the NDA will be lifted before the next Beta Weekend, or that the NDA will be modified so that people playing the next Beta Weekend can have friends over to watch them play, and people will be able to post server names to meet up with each other. Otherwise, Stephen would have simply responded “No” or something to that effect.

What do you think? Is too much being read into this, or could we be seeing a lifting of the NDA soon?

  1. I agree. Good time to drop the NDA. And all the … in those tweets helps, doesn’t it…

  2. Well I figure, that this is the final beta build that they are testing prior to launch unless there are major problems. From here they should just be able to patch the content.
