Sith Inquisitor by Roxanne

Roxanne and Carla are excited to have Jaro from Jen’Jidai & Fragworld as their guest to talk TOR.   Kathy & Roxanne first met Jaro at PAX-East in March of last year.   He was the first person outside our circle of friends that actually listened to our podcast!

Our prayers go out to Deirdre and her family.   Her Uncle just passed away.   We love you DD!

FACT OR FICTION:  Can you pick out the true fact?   This week’s fact or fiction talks about in-game keyboard shortcuts.

SITH OR JEDI:   TEST OF THE HELPING HAND

An old lady appears to be struggling when crossing the street and you offer to help her. She adamantly declines your offer, calling you a pervert and other expletives. Do you:

  1. Wish her a very nice day but continue to monitor her progress to make sure she makes it across safely.
  2. Shrug it off and continue on your way.
  3. Force push that crazy old bitch into oncoming traffic while maniacally chuckling to yourself.

  1. Thanks for the great episode!

I just wanted to say, you really should change the name from “Slaughter Saturday” to “Slaughterday” 🙂

  2. Just heard the end of the podcast and there’s one way of getting to the fleet quickly that wasn’t mentioned. While you mentioned the slow route, the 16-hour cooldown fleet pass, and the 1,000 credit fleet pass, you forgot about the flashpoint shuttles that were added to most or all of the planets (other than the starter worlds).

They are always near one of the taxi/bind points and are accessed through a little device standing in front of the shuttle, so if you note where it is on your current world you can always taxi or quick travel to that camp and hop on the shuttle to the fleet. If I remember right it drops you right in the flashpoint “wing” of the fleet.

Getting back, of course, is a different matter. That still requires the usual travel on your ship, etc.

  3. Roxanne,

I just wanted to let you know that I played Taris on the Republic side, and I loved it. Kotor is one of my favorite games of all time, and I was really looking forward to Taris ever since I heard that it would be in the game. The planet looks amazing, especially if you look at he skyline. If anything, I felt that many of the quests that harken back to Kotor could have gone a little deeper. They just seemed to end a little too soon. I just wanted to share my positive Taris experience since, like you, I had heard mostly negative feedback. I have no idea what it is like on the Empire side, so maybe it does suck for those guys.

  4. Just wanted to let you know about another quicktravel type option for fleets and flashpoints. Each planet has about 2 locations with flightpaths and a fleet shuttle. If you see a shuttle near a flightpaths, go click on it, you will likely get the option to fly to fleet and it actually drops you off in the flashpoints room even. No 18 hour CD required, you just have to know where they are on your planet, at most you use a flight path or your 30 minute CD to get there and then fly up.
