Briefing

Welcome to the war, comrades. You have been selected to receive the latest training and tactics fresh from the warfront. The tried-and-true strategies you are about to hear are extremely effective and CLASSIFIED. Let’s get to the briefing. Today is a special edition of Tactical Strike to talk about the news that has hit this week that just cannot wait any longer!

More after the Jump…

These last few weeks have been busy ones for Bioware and fansites alike, as there have been lots of interviews hitting the airwaves via podcasts, several developer blogs, and lots of activity on the forums. I will cover some of this insanity on Wednesday, but I had to get a special update out to you this weekend because by Wednesday, you will be in Patch 1.6!

Patch 1.6 Hits Tuesday

That’s right, soldiers. This week on the 11th, we will finally see Ancient Hypergates hit the live servers, Elite War Hero gear sets, and the removal of Battlemaster. Prepare yourselves with the following intel:

Future of SWTOR PvP

Thanks to an interview over on TORWars of Rob Hinkle, Senior Systems Designer over at Bioware, we now know a lot of fascinating information (which I will go into more in the coming weeks). The BIG bomb that he dropped was the standardization of Expertise over all of the tiers of PvP gear, creating more of a 10-49 experience at the level cap. This has lots of ramifications, but the big one is that players will have to blame their losses not on gear, but on skill! *gasp*

What do you think of these pieces of news? Let us know your opinions in the comments below!

Use this information well, soldier. Fight for victory and die with honor. Till our next briefing, DISMISSED!
