Photo-Receptor Focus on: The Wonderful Galaxy of Color!

By Maer

Dye modules! Colors! So, do you think I’m in heaven? I am! My poor eyes have been so sad for almost two years and they finally have some relief with the new dye modules that released in 2.1. Lovely, bright colors!

More after the jump…

Yes, the dye modules are here and I’ve been checking out the color combos that are available. I can even make some on my Artificer, which was thrilling to discover.

No, it’s not perfect and they can improve how the colors apply, but just now I’m reveling in being able to see color at all! My particular outfit has a cape and that is still mostly black and dark grey from the back, with the gold lining from the front. I’m not sure why it works that way, to be honest, but I have that lovely deep purple that is showing up on the shoulders and other places. And before you ask, yes, it is the primary.

When choosing colors be sure to check them out first so you can see the effect it will make. I put my module on my chest piece and then unified color and voila! I have purple.

A friend of mine is decked out head to toe in blues. I love it! Others might tease him about being a giant blueberry, but I like standing next to him and admiring those blues. He also looks quite nice next to my purple.

Anyway, this fashionista is quite pleased that there is finally something other than drab color for our gear in this game. I’d love to hear what you think about the new dyes, so please let me know.

That’s my two credits. What’s yours?

  1. Pretty much everything I have seen has been hideous. Sith in pastels. Oh well, it was going to come to this eventually. How about a disco ball lightsaber!…

  2. I’ve actually seen some pretty cool outfits. I agree pastels would be bad on Sith. My purple and gold and black is working nicely, I think, though.
