HoloNet Links #102
This past Monday, the crew from Corellian Run Radio recorded our monthly Writers’ Roundtable podcast, episode #99. With Drew’s help on the math, I was able to figure up that the next podcast would be number 100! Oh, and we have a few plans in mind for that special podcast. There will be some special guests, more like returning family members…Kathy, and her daughter Roxanne will be there, Deirdre (DD) will also be there, along with the Drew and of course the one and only Carla! The podcast will be taped on July 13th, earlier in the evening, so be sure to look for when that podcast is posted…oh, and we are having an in-game party!
Podcast party details, Wanted: your questions & more after the Jump…
Yes, you heard me correct, we are having an in-game party!!! The Corellian Run Radio crew will be partying later that same night in the Kaas City Cantina, around 8:00 PM CDT, July 13th. There will be giveaways, and maybe some dueling. We will be setting up a custom chat channel /cjoin CRR, so everyone can see the discussion. All are welcome to join us on the Shadowlands server for this event. So, make sure to have an Imperial character leveled up to make the trip to the cantina on Dromund Kaas.
- SWTOR Music video
Speaking of fun, let’s have a little music video fun. It has been awhile since I have come across a new music video for SWTOR. There have been many great videos made from the fans of SWTOR, but I will have to say that this video might just be my favorite one of all time. It definitely has the most footage of a “rock” in any music video I have highlighted.
Hmm how to describe the video, it is as the creator, GGAvrii, states, “Basically it’s random music with video elements that shouldn’t work together, but they do!” Imagine a TV, filled with several different music videos of SWTOR in-game footage. You have to give it a watch. There will be at least one part of the video that will make you laugh and probably a lot more than that. It is just the thing for anyone having a frustrating day. Give it a watch and let us know what you think in the comment section below.
- Double XP Weekends continue
Below are the remaining weekends that the Double XP will apply. Are you planning to take advantage of this extra XP? Let us know if so and what you plan to do…creating a new character or finishing up a class you started, but never completed?
July 4, 2013 (6:00AM CDT / 11:00AM GMT) to July 8, 2013 (2:00AM CDT / 7:00AM GMT)
As you level up during these Double XP weekends, don’t forget to checkout Geldarion’s article on The Fanatical Swordsman site, it tells how to make the most of those Planetary Comms for staying properly geared up to level 55.
How far will you level this weekend? Let us know your Double XP weekend plans in the comment section below.

Just to make sure I get it on the DevTracker, these are correct.
BioWare has sent out emails to subscribers about the ability to rename one of your current characters. The above examples from community members help explain how you go about doing this. Another helpful tip from the forums is to create a “dummy” character to see if the name you want is available, then delete that character and go through the renaming steps. This should help you have a better chance of securing the name you want to use.
The Public Test Server will be coming down tomorrow, June 27th, to begin preparation for Game Update 2.3 testing! Thanks very much for your participation and assistance in testing Nightmare Mode Scum and Villainy. We’re excited to bring the new content to you in Game Update 2.2.2.
Please watch this forum for more information and prepare yourself for some great new stuff to test in the very near future (possibly this week)!
Thanks to everyone who helped out on the Public Test Server for Update 2.2.2. It sounds like everything is on schedule for the release of Update 2.2.2, which includes the Nightmare mode for the Scum & Villainy Operation. I am intrigued by the last part of Amber’s post, concerning testing some new stuff…possibly it has something to do with the Bounty Hunter event in Update 2.3.
