This is a great question! You may have noticed that aside from the Gree themed items returning to the store, that the items which are on sale sometimes changes as well. I recommend folks check the store every day to see what things are on sale. If we add any brand new items into the Market we will be sure to alert you, but the sales will be changing “on-the-fly.”
I get some of the reasoning behind BioWare switching up the sales on the Cartel Market. They want players to login daily and open up the Cartel Market to check on any new sales. This marketing idea is hoping that players will open up the Cartel Market more times and potentially lead to a Cartel purchase. The strategy is pretty sound. It is similar to clearance sales in stores. They don’t always advertise these sales, but if a customer is in a store they tend to gravitate to the red stickers of the clearance sale rack. However, I think they would be better served by changing their sale items, like they are doing, but also mention a few of the new sale items through social media avenues. Social media reaches several consumers and also is very cheap form of advertising. McDonald’s has French fries and almost everyone in the world knows it, but they still ask, “Do you want fries with that?”
Thanks for your feedback about the recent changes to the Seeker Droid! The changes that were made were done to remove the ability to endlessly acquire items, as this was not intended. Also, we wanted to be sure and allow for players to obtain the speeder parts and treasures when digging, but we are taking what you’re saying into account.

The system is designed to only display “Your Seeker Droid Found Something Interesting” (versus just having them find “Something”) when you find special treasure or an armor piece. There been a few comments here that indicate that when getting something interesting, that you’re obtaining other items. We’re looking for more details with regards to exactly what was obtained when the “Interesting” message pops up for you. We’ve done some investigation on our side, and this currently appears to be working correctly.

We agree! If you’ve had a gray item deplete a site, this is not intended and is a bug. Please be sure you file and in-game /bug to report this if it happens, and we welcome follow up posts with details for us to investigate.
We’ve been keeping an eye on this thread and will continue to do so. If we discover any bugs with the system, we’ll post them on the Known Issues and update you here.
I like the Seeker Droid quests. It is a welcomed change of pace to normal dailies. That said, changing the gray “junk” items, to level ten, value seems a bit drastic. I would prefer they up the percentage of finding really rare items even more and get rid of gray junk items. From the posts, it looks like BioWare is listening and looking to possibly making some more changes to the system in the future. What would you like them to do with the droid seeker mechanics? Let us know in the comment section below.
Hello Sages and Sorcerers!
We’ve confirmed that this is caused when using Telekinetic Wave/Chain Lightning right before the proc for Tidal Force/Lightning Storm actually triggers. Additionally, the fix for this is through testing and ready to go for Game Update 2.3! Thanks for your ongoing patience while we investigated and resolved this frustrating issue.
Thanks for all of you out there that reported this bug and also those helping in testing. It is always great to see when a bug has been found and fixed. Let’s see what happens when Update 2.3 goes live. Keep the bug reporting coming!

- SWTOR Fan Fiction
It has been awhile since I have made mention of any fan fiction, so I made a point to read through several on the Fan Fiction section on the SWTOR forums. I must say there are some really good writers in our community. I could probably spend several weeks just writing on all the great stories. One forum writer, Caernos, has written a few really good ones, but the one that caught my eye was the one he submitted on July 27th, called Dead men Tell No Tales. I’m sure some of you can already guess where this might be going, and you would be right. The story is almost a mash-up of SWTOR and Pirates of the Caribbean. It is one of his shorter stories, but the thought process and details really are what make this story stand out to me. Here is a small excerpt:
“With a wicked smile that bared her fangs, she rested her hands on a pair of long blasters shoved through her belt. “You miserable lubbers call yourselves spacers? I’ve seen gree with more muscle than you lot!”
A besalisk at the top of the line straightened up as he passed a crate to the next crewmen. His clothes were baggy and loose, stained with the grease of who knew what. His muscular arms were black with tattoos from shoulder to fingertips. “Beggin your pardon Breenah, but the boys always work harder when they got a good song to listen to.” He grunted as his four arms passed the next crate to a trandoshan.
The cathar smiled and took a couple of steps towards the besalisk. “Then sing us a song, Cooky, use that lovely girl’s voice we all know and love.”
Let us know what you think of the story in the comment section below or maybe you have a link to another good fan fiction story you would like me to highlight. You can email the link to me email@example.com
- SWTOR music video
YouTube user RobOfAllGames has this week’s SWTOR Music video. He takes a very familiar song and uses a new dance emote in various locations throughout the SWTOR Universe to film this video. The Gangnam Style song has been used a lot, but I will say that this particular video is very well edited. This video contains the new dance emote along with a mixture of other emotes and camera angles to make it a first class version of this music video utilizing in-game footage.
That’s all for this week! If you have a particular link, story, video, or topic related to SWTOR we would love to hear about it! You can send those to us here at Corellian Run Radio and we can place it in a future article. Just email us the links and/or the details for the event at firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can also leave any link suggestions in the comments below, or in Corellian Run Radio’s Facebook group. See you all next week!
