HoloNet Links #133
Happy Valentine’s Day to all! Currently in-game the Bounty Contract Week is going on now through February 18th. This is for levels 15-55, so head to the Fleet and speak with a member of the Bounty Brokers Association to start your bounty hunting adventures. Nothing says true love or friendship like tracking down Henchmen and Kingpins. I mean anyone can give/receive a diamond, but when you care enough to freeze someone in carbonite, that just screams Valentine’s Day. Well, the screaming part might be more after the unfreezing process.
Class Changes in Update 2.7, Clone Wars coming to Netflix & more after the Jump…

- Dev notes
Normally in the Dev notes section I highlight a few posts by the various members of the Community Team and/or the Devs, but this week I am focusing on one post. Eric Musco posted that changes to several classes are coming in Update 2.7. Of course these changes will first be tested in house then on the PTS before making it to the live game, so take these changes with a “grain of salt” as they say. The changes do give an idea the direction BioWare is heading with particular classes for balancing purposes. Be sure to check out each advanced classes’ link in the post below.
As you may have seen me mention yesterday, our goal today was to post some of the class changes that are coming in Game Update 2.7. Below you will find links to individual threads for each class that is currently receiving changes in 2.7. I want to stress that this is not a comprehensive list of all of the class changes coming in 2.7. As the Combat team continues their work and more changes are implemented, I will be sure to pass them on. With that being said, here is the initial list!
Sorcerer // Sage
Marauder // Sentinel
Juggernaut // Guardian
Sniper // Gunslinger
Operative // Scoundrel
One thing to keep in mind is that Game Update 2.7 marks the end of Season 1 of Ranked Arenas. You will notice quite a few of these changes are targeted at PvP specifically, it is our goal that you will typically see “bigger” Class PvP changes between seasons. On the topic of seasons, it is our goal that either tomorrow or early next week we will be publishing a blog with all of the nitty gritty details around the end of Season 1. You will get to see the rewards we have planned for Season 1 and the ranks required to achieve them. I am very excited for you guys to see them.

- Corellian Run Radio’s Weekly Nav Coordinates
If you haven’t listened to the latest podcast episode, Riding off into the Sunset, then you may not know that Geldarion aka Drew is leaving SWTOR and Corellian Run Radio. He said in the podcast that it is just time for him to move on and while he still loves SWTOR there are some issues that if he stayed much longer he might have very negative feelings about the game. Of course we all know Drew and he is a very positive and knowledgeable person. Our very own “Han Solo” will be leaving, but he has promised to return for anniversary episodes and has not ruled out coming back to SWTOR if Update 2.8 is as big as BioWare has already claimed it will be. We here at Corellian Run Radio wish Drew all the best and know the Force will be with him all of his days…oh and of course so will his blasters.

- Star Wars Clone Wars coming to Netflix
According to a news article posted on StarWars.com, the final season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars titled “The Lost Missions,” will be streaming on Netflix. The series for those in US and Canada will begin steaming on March 7th, 2014. Besides the 13 episodes in the final season, the entire Clone Wars animated series will be available on Netflix. For more details make sure to read the article found on the official Star Wars website. I have been looking forward to being able to see this final season for some time now. Even though this is an animated series, this has to be one of the best I have seen. The writing for this series is amazing and I would strongly urge you to give this series a try when it comes to Netflix in March.
- Star Wars Music video
This week we have a unique video. It is compilation video of various scenes in the ill-fated life of Anakin Skywalker. It is actually a different type of love story. A young man that loved so much, first his mother and then Padame, which caused him to sacrifice his soul to the Dark Side in order to prevent further hurt or so he thought. That very thing he had so tried to prevent from happening ironically came to pass because of those very actions. However, that is not the end of this love story, the man made up of mostly machine finally found that love inside himself…the love for his son and saved not only his son, but himself even though it led to sacrificing his life to do so.
This video by YouTube user Matt Kowynia is very well edited and showcases those very pivotal moments in Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader’s life. The other element that masterfully brings this video all together is the Nine Inch Nails song “Hurt” performed by the legend, Johnny Cash. Love is the greatest thing in this world, but we need to be mindful of what we sacrifice in order to try to force love to last. Love is not something to take lightly and should be celebrated everyday and not just February 14th.
Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comment section below.
That’s all for this week! If you have a particular link, story, video, or topic related to SWTOR we would love to hear about it! You can send those to us here at Corellian Run Radio and we can place it in a future article. Just email us the links and/or the details for the event at firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can also leave any link suggestions in the comments below, or in Corellian Run Radio’s Facebook group. See you next week!
