HoloNet Links #162
Update 2.10 went live earlier this week. Besides some changes to some Advance Classes, we also have the third and final part of the Forged Alliance story arc. It has been a hectic week for me from writing and health related things, my gameplay has suffered. Last week was a fun time, helping my guild in the Guild Conquest event. Let’s get into the links and stories below and get back to gameplay.
Galactic Stronghold contest, Decorating mishap & more after the Jump…
- “Prime” location for next Flashpoint
Forged Alliance storyline has been leading up to this final chapter. The location for this is story arc ending is the planet Rakata Prime. Yes, the same world once visited by Revan himself. How will this story all play out? I have not played through this new Tactical Flashpoint, but by the time you are reading this, I will hopefully have completed it. After the Flashpoint on Manaan, I have been thinking of what the group, based around a particular figure in Old Republic lore is planning to do. Will this group also play a vital role in the new expansion Update 3.0, slated for later this year? I have no clue, but I am eager to find out. To get a bit of background for this Flashpoint, be sure to read the latest SWTOR news article.

Since we know that the story of 3.0 is related to the Forged Alliances storyline. They are probably going to give it a few days for everyone to get a chance to play it before they put out details that may spoil the new FP.
You nailed it. We have been holding back 3.0 details because <SPOILERS!!>. But now that Forged Alliances is out there with this morning’s launch of 2.10 we’re letting folks have a little time with Rakata Prime and then spilling the beans on 3.0. Look for a teaser within a week, and then a full announce before the end of month!
Like many of you, I am eager to find more concerning the expansion coming in Update 3.0. However, we just had Update 2.10 hit this week with a new story arc piece. As hard as it is for me, I need to be patient till later this month, as Bruce mentioned in the above dev post. It sounds like we will have a major announcement before September is over and that is less than 18 days.
The Selkath Console is definitely bugged in that you can’t move it back to how it was pre-update – you should be able to adjust it back into position.
That said, in future cases when we make changes to decorations, they will reset to their “default” position every time (default meaning its position if you placed it but never moved it), but they will be able to be moved back into place. The bug with the Console is that it can’t be moved.
We’re looking into it now and hope to have your labs, offices, and computer rooms back in working order soon!
This is similar to a bug from beta, which kept putting placed decorations back to their default placement. It is frustrating, but at least they are not deleted or picked-up and placed in your decoration inventory. From the post by Tait, it sounds like they will be getting to this fix shortly. Let’s hope so, meanwhile, if you think this decorating issue is bad, watch the video below. It is funny, unless it happened to you. After this video, I’m sure many will be very selective who they allow to use their account to look at their Stronghold.
Don’t miss out on the epic finale to the “Forged Alliances” storyline with the release of the new Legacy of the Rakata Flashpoint, now live!

- Fan-made Movie posters for Episode VII
In a Yahoo article by Kevin Polowy, has eight fan created movie posters for the long awaited Star Wars movie, Episode VII. Our SWTOR has a thriving artistic community, it only stands to reason that the much larger Star Wars fan base would have talented artists eager to showcase their talents for franchise they love. Below I have a few of the posters, be sure to read the article and check out the slideshow of all eight fan created movie posters.
