HoloNet Links #222
The wait is over! Star Wars the Force Awakens is at theaters now. I was able to see it Thursday night December 17th on an early showing. It was pretty awesome seeing the fans lined up ready to go inside and find their seats. Talking with one of my nephews and discussing what might happen. At the same time, you could listen and hear some of the same discussions behind or next to you. The anticipation was building as the lights finally dimmed. The next moment the yellow text appeared with the John Williams` music and all was right with the world.
More on the movie, dev notes & 3D Vader painting after the Jump…
I won’t go into any spoilers or storylines, but I want to talk a little bit about the movie. First off, I want to thank JJ Abrams. He did a great job with this film, especially such an established franchise. Abrams has brought a new story to the Star Wars galaxy, but there are enough familiar “Star Warsy” themes and references that link it back to things in the original trilogy. One of the best things was how the characters worked together as an ensemble. There is so much more I could say about this movie, but I won’t as I promised no spoilers. I will say the future of the Star Wars franchise appears to be on another upward swing as it welcomes in the next generation. As you exit the theater, you are card carrying Star Wars fans. Welcome to the fandom!

- Dev notes
After further investigation, we unfortunately will be unable to address the issues with the Rakghoul Plague before the event expires on Tuesday. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
For those who were looking to run the Rakghoul event, it is scheduled to return on January 12th. Thanks everyone.
As many of you ingame already knew, the Rakghoul event has not been without bugs this time around. In fact, the bug has prevented people from completing the quests in the tunnels because it boots players out of the tunnels. This has been investigated since this patch went live and unfortunately was unable to be fixed this time for the Rakghoul event.

- Star Wars video
This week’s video posted by YouTube user PortraitPainter Pabst. I came across this one while search YouTube. It is the Darth Lord of the Sith, Vader myself. The artist paints the 3D bust of Vader. Not only is the work excellent. The 3D effect is like nothing I have seen. It is like the Sith Lord smashed his helmet right through the wall. Take a couple minutes and check this video out.
Please let us know if you have a particular link, story, video, or blog related to SWTOR we would love to hear about it! You can send those to us here at Corellian Run Radio and we can place it in a future article.
