It has been another crazy week, but one thing has improved the week…the Corellian Run Radio podcast is back! We have no confirmation on this, but I believe the Rakghoul Plague is to be blamed on getting to Carla’s hard drive. While we our speaking about podcasts, two former community podcasters – Eric Musco and Brooks Guthrie, have released the official Star Wars: The Old Republic podcast. Operation: Explosive Conflict

Deirdre and Carla are BACK! Due to computer issues beyond Carla’s control (her computer blew up!) we were unable to record our podcast the past couple of weeks. While Carla’s computer is still at the retailer for warranty repairs or replacement, this podcast was recorded using Carla’s MacBook Pro. The audio quality is not up to our usual standard, but we hope you enjoy it!

This podcast we chat about patch 1.2.3, return of Fan Friday, Nightmare Pilgrim issues, and so much more. Now if Carla can only figure out what the correct date is, all will be right with the world. LOL

FACT OR FICTION: Can you pick out the true fact? This week’s fact or fiction talks about Boarding Party flashpoint, characters in your legacy tree and Nightmare Pilgrim issues.

Demonic Sith Lords – Sith Empire

Through this article and website, I have had the great privilege of meeting some amazing guilds, full of creative and talented folks all with one thing in common…enjoying Star Wars: The Old Republic. This week is no exception. Dugra, an officer in the Demonic Sith Lords, emailed me about highlighting their guild. I have to admit, seeing the word demonic in the name had me raise an eyebrow. However, I went about checking out their guild and they are really a great bunch of folks…even if they are the anti-“fluffy” named guild. As we will find out they love playing this game and having fun, especially when they are extinguishing those on the light side.

Operation: Information – Combat Logs (and what to do with them)

The community kicked and screamed on the forums on the pros and cons of having combat logs until Bioware finally gave us a compromise. What we ended up with was a personal combat log tracking ability which would allow people who were interested in measuring their performance to do so. What this did not allow you to do was to see how other group members were performing. This week, we’ll delve further into the tools that will allow you to make sense of these log files now that you have them. Continue reading »
