News…News…News! After the holiday period, it seems things are getting back in full-swing. BioWare gave the community what it had been starving for, news. We have news about what we will see in Patch 1.7, BioWare’s solution to gear changes on the cartel Market and even the latest Companion 101 blog. Even before we dig into these news items, I want to say thank you BioWare, but please don’t stop. The community loves to hear about the direction you have planned for SWTOR.

More on Patch 1.7, BioWare’s Gear Solution & much after the Jump…

  • Legacy of The Ancients

After communicating with several guilds, I have found there are common traits in all…structure, leadership and having fun to name a few. This week we get to learn about The Legacy of The Ancients. They in turn share these traits, but it was the backstory of this roleplaying guild that first caught my eye. After researching the guild more, I also discovered they use their guild status to also pursue helping others in philanthropic ways. We will find out more in today’s Community Checkpoint as we meet the guild, The Legacy of The Ancients.

Whitesun Whill, a guild officer, joins us in todays’ Q&A section after the Jump…

This week we received our first patch of 2013. Along with fixes the patch included some new items on the Cartel Market. Now not all the changes were well received, especially those making changes to a couple existing armor, the Phantom and Spymasters gear sets, which were purchased through the Cartel Market. As a result many players voiced their displeasure on the forums. How would BioWare respond to these players?

BioWare’s response, Larry Everett’s 5 wishes for SWTOR & more after the Jump…

  • TORVerse podcast

torverspodartThis week on Community Checkpoint we meet the hosts of the TORVerse podcast, Phil and Jake. Not only are these two avid Star Wars fans and SWTOR players, these two also happen to be father and son. I came across this podcast several weeks ago and love the dynamic between the two, not just as father and son, but as two gamers sharing their opinions about this game. We will get a chance to learn more about how they got started in Star Wars: The Old Republic and how it led to them developing the TORVerse podcast.

Get ready to meet Phil & Jake after we make the Jump…

Happy 2013 to everyone! Well, it seems the Mayans were a bit off lol. That just means more SWTOR we will be able to play. It is sort of wild to believe it has already been more than one year ago we were able to start our journeys in the Old Republic universe. Yes, there have been and still are issues to be found in the game, however the game has come a long way. Now, as everyone returns back from the holidays, maybe we will learn in more detail what direction SWTOR will be heading for 2013.

Thoughts on the State of the Game blog and more after the Jump…
