Demonic Sith Lords – Sith Empire

Through this article and website, I have had the great privilege of meeting some amazing guilds, full of creative and talented folks all with one thing in common…enjoying Star Wars: The Old Republic. This week is no exception. Dugra, an officer in the Demonic Sith Lords, emailed me about highlighting their guild. I have to admit, seeing the word demonic in the name had me raise an eyebrow. However, I went about checking out their guild and they are really a great bunch of folks…even if they are the anti-“fluffy” named guild. As we will find out they love playing this game and having fun, especially when they are extinguishing those on the light side.

Operation: Information – Combat Logs (and what to do with them)

The community kicked and screamed on the forums on the pros and cons of having combat logs until Bioware finally gave us a compromise. What we ended up with was a personal combat log tracking ability which would allow people who were interested in measuring their performance to do so. What this did not allow you to do was to see how other group members were performing. Have you seen this Jedi Master?

The Jedi Master was last spotted prior to Patch 1.2 and Rakghoul Outbreak. This reporter went in search and started at the Jedi Temple on Tython. After surveying the on-going struggle with the Flesh Raiders, I made my way to the Jedi Temple. Everyone seemed to be going about their business as usual. I was told to meet the very Jedi Master, Master Muheeda, I was seeking to receive training. Upon reaching the upper level of the temple and making my way to the Holocron Library, I saw Master Muheeda…or was it?

Welcome to the Force Lore, ladies and gentlemen! Yes, it’s time for your weekly dose of the who is who, where is where, and why is, well, you get the picture. The Star Wars Universe is ever expanding with more and more details added all the time. To get the lowdown on all of this, you have to be able to turn somewhere, so you know the lore/dirt behind the game. That’s what we hope to provide here at Force Lore.

Last week we began with a short gloss-over of Satele Shan, the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. For a CG character, I’m sure there’s more than one person out there that has dreamt of Satele being a romantic availability for their character. And why not? She’s modeled well. I’m not trying to be sexist… Hey! I’m just a guy!

Defenders of The Faith – Galactic Republic

This week we get introduced to the guild, Defenders of The Faith. We will talk to their guild master, Velox and learn how they got their start, what their focus is on in SWTOR and we will even get to learn about some of their “unique” events (Cliff Jump anyone?). Just as diverse as the community itself, this guild has its own way of doing things, their own set of goals and rules, but yet their main focus is having fun!
