How was Luke able to feel and control his replacement hand exactly, after it was cut off by Darth Vader? Or the ability to have an entire exoskeleton suit, like General Grievous? Perhaps the research currently being done will give us the answers and move us one step closer to metal cybernetics and perhaps even the flesh-like replacements just like Luke’s.
