Fast Company, a business magazine that focuses on innovation, digital media, and leadership posted a terrific article on Star Wars: The Old Republic. EA’s digital download store, Origin, will start carrying games from independent publishers. In their most recent financial report, they announced a partnership with Warner Brothers Interactive, Capcom, and THQ. This marks the first time games outside the EA umbrella will be sold through their new digital download service. This move puts Origin in direct competition with Steam, currently the leader in digital games sales. BioWare Head Honchos Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk told Eurogamer.net that when it comes to game and marketing decisions, dissatisfied fans should not point the finger of blame at EA Games.
