This past week in SWTOR has revolved around a few topics, Character/Server Transfers, Ranked Warzones & the possibility of SWTOR moving to a Free-2-Play model. Most of the news on the transfers has been very positive. The move itself was fast for players, even guilds…with a little coordination between members, without major issues. The main problem came with character names and Legacy names. Some had to change their names and Legacy names, upon arriving at the destination server.

EA’s digital download store, Origin, will start carrying games from independent publishers. In their most recent financial report, they announced a partnership with Warner Brothers Interactive, Capcom, and THQ. This marks the first time games outside the EA umbrella will be sold through their new digital download service. This move puts Origin in direct competition with Steam, currently the leader in digital games sales. Daniel Nye Griffiths takes a look at what this might mean for the consumer in an article at

EA has already announced that digital copies of Star Wars: The Old Republic will be available only through Origin.
