First off, sorry for giving you your dose of triple T a bit late this week, it has been hectic for me personally. Basically, after a weekend in London, my body decided to shut down and disallow me the chance to write this.

Regardless, this past Tuesday early access to Star Wars: The Old Republic started. And with this, a LOT of people have started to complain about not getting in. I will give you my take on it, and I sincerely hope you agree with me in the end.

More Thom’s Thought Transmissions and Comments after the jump.

Kudos to BioWare!   So far, early access has been running smoothly.   The swtor.com forums are all buzzing about how upset people are about not getting in early access yet, but those people need to be patient.   BioWare is doing exactly what they said they would do by granting access based on when your preorder code was entered on your account.  Continue reading »

HoloNet Links #23

The big news, Early Game Access starts two days earlier!! That is right; Early Game Access will start on Dec. the 13th, instead of the 15th as originally planned. This is a welcomed announcement. I mean seriously, who doesn’t like getting that “Christmas or Holiday gift” early? Now there are possible issues on there being no grace period for those getting physical copies of the game, but for now let’s enjoy the good news…at least for a moment!

So since we have the good news and it is around the Holiday season, I have another video from the folks at GameBreaker.tv to start us off with this week.

More links for dev notes, stocking stuffer ideas & much more after the Jump…

Star Wars: The Old Republic has announced a change in the start of Early Game Access! Early Access will begin two days earlier than previously announced. The complete details can be found here: SWTOR Updated FAQ and Preload Info.

Of note: There is NO GRACE PERIOD. While the news for Early Access is beyond exciting, it is tempered with that news. So, what does this mean? Those who bought hard copies (Collector’s Editions, as well as Standard Editions) will not be able to play once Early Access closes down, until they receive their games and input their game codes. One can only hope that this gets changed and a grace period of some type will allow those gamers to continue playing.

Comments after the jump.
