In two days, on November 15, 2012, the SWTOR Free-to-Play model goes active. That’s good news for those who want to try the game for free. However, there are also some perks for those who are or who used to be subscribers. There are two important dates for those players. The first date is, of course, November 15th. And the second one is December 20th. Why are these dates important? Because they both involve free Cartel Coins.

You let me do this in either a solo, “me and my NPC companions against the universe” way or in a group with friends and strangers. For this I am eminently grateful. Bioware has announced that SWTOR will be going Free to Play sometime this fall. Even though we don’t have all the details yet, the great debate has begun. The Doom and Gloomers are dancing in the streets, crowing to anyone who will listen about how right they were. While many other players appear to be taking a cautious “Wait and See” attitude. So what does all the hoopla mean? Will you continue your sub or cancel in favor of the free model?
