Deleted Scene Undeleted for Blu-ray

This previously deleted scene from Empire Strikes Back will make its return for the Blu-ray edition of Star Wars: The Complete Saga, reports The Hit List. Never one to believe that less is more, George Lucas has no qualms about fiddling with his films, adding more finishing touches with each opportunity. This scene lengthens the conversation between Han and Leia as she chases him down in the frozen tunnels of Hoth.

The Blu-ray edition of the entire Star Wars saga, episodes I – VI will be released on September 16th.

Star Wars is one of the things in my life that I am completely unable to remain unbiased towards, in my mind it’s beyond reproach. The original trilogy is scripture to me. Few things have dominated my development like Star Wars; it maintains a holy position on my shelf of childhood obsessions.

G4 Interview: George Lucas and Tom Fitzgerald Talk Star Tours

Video Games – E3 2011 – The Loop

G4’s Attack of the Show interviewed George Lucas and Disney Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald about the new Star Tours attraction at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The new ride features multiple story elements which Lucas says makes Star Tours not merely one ride, but “fifty different rides.” Fitzgerald likens it to a “storytelling slot machine.”
