Today started the biggest Beta Testing Weekend, so far for the game. All of you testing enjoy and remember it is beta and there might be a few hiccups.

HoloNet Links is coming to you the day after Thanksgiving. As it is one of the biggest shopping days, I have included some gift ideas for that Star Wars fan. In other news, last Friday the NDA was dropped on Star Wars: The Old Republic. Therefore, testers are free to share their experiences, screenshots, and even some have been streaming their gameplay. If you have not seen any of these videos, I will have some links to sites in the video section. Sunny Ravencourt and Radicool from Sunny’s Diner join us to discuss our Fansite Summit experience, plus we are slowly figuring out that Sunny might be a hardcore player in casual clothing. We also learn that Georg is a playful, vengeful god and that just makes us like him more.

Fansite Summit 2: James Ohlen Q&A

Game Director James Ohlen answered a host of questions during a Q&A session at the Fansite Summit at BioWare Austin. Here’s a breakdown of what was discussed:

Guilds

Guild banks is the #1 asked-for feature concerning guilds. It will be the first thing they work on post-launch.
No guild events calendar feature in game at launch. High priority.
Guilds will be brought into testing to test endgame.
No in-game mechanics for guild adversaries and allies to interact.
There is talk of integrating the guild webpage features into the game, but can’t discuss.

NYCC: Friday is SWTOR Panels Day

Daniel has done way too many of these panels and does what he can to keep himself mentally engaged with the process.

Our first day at New York Comic Con! We arrive not at the crack of dawn, which means that even though we make a beeline for the Hallmark Booth, the Collectible R2 ornaments are already sold out. We are told that you have to come right when they open. Probably not happening since we have a two-hour commute in every day via NJ Transit.
