Photo-Receptor Focus on: The “Other” Side

By Maer

By now most of us have had a chance to play the opposite faction from our mains. For some the loyalty to their main side is extremely important. I can’t say I feel as strongly as some, but I must admit, I do prefer my Empire characters. Fortunately, I do have two Light Side characters on the Imperial side, so I don’t automatically hit that Dark Side choice. Well, not anymore, at least. So how do I think the two sides stack up against each other, so far?

Photo-Receptor Focus on: The Great Nerf Game

By Maer

Bioware is asking that we try out the PTS before making up our minds about the class changes coming in 1.4. That’s a fair request. I’d love to be able to say I’m thrilled about the proposed changes. Photo-Receptor Focus on: The Answer is 42.

By  Maer

Today is my 42nd article for this column. I mention this only because everyone knows that “42” is a most significant number. I mean it’s the answer to the meaning of life, right? At least, those who ask a question in voice or chat will often get this answer.

For instance, when we ask Bioware when we will get new content, they might as well answer “42”. Because the answer we get instead is that vague and basically meaningless word “soon”.

Photo-Receptor Focus on: The Clicking Game

By  Maer

Another fun and successful event has come and gone in the Star Wars universe. It drew many players back into the game, at least for the event itself. I spent hours doing the various quests and finding little boxes to open, as I collected enough tokens to purchase those items I had to have. Yet, as much as I loved the event, there are some lessons that Bioware could learn and apply to the next event. First and foremost is the Clicking Game.
