After you’ve slammed your face against Firebrand and Stormcaller you will have Colonel Vorgath to deal with. I suppose Bioware thought we deserved a break after the pounding we took on the tanks so they didn’t make the Colonel that much more difficult. As expected, there are some changes involved, but if you successfully kill Vorgath on Hard Mode you should have minimal issues in Nightmare.

Nightmare mode Firebrand and Stormcaller will be your operation group’s first true test. The mechanics aren’t vastly different, but there are definitely some changes you will have to deal with that will vary your strategy from what you’ve known. For the most part, your tanks’ and healers’ roles remain unchanged but your DPS must be be at their best. I also have a major issue with the way this fight was designed, which requires certain classes that MUST be brought in order to defeat these bosses.

With the free-to-play option came a new operation. Well, not a new one, but let’s just call it ‘revised’. Nightmare Mode Explosive Conflict was released with the 1.5 patch which offers a new challenge for operation groups. Kephess is back and uglier than ever! This encounter will test your operation group’s movement and positioning. I don’t feel this fight is as difficult as Kephess in Denova but it does offer up new mechanics which make this fight fun. He’s got a lot of health to burn through so you’ll have to take advantage of the local architecture and use it to your advantage in this encounter.
