Highlighted Guild

  • Republic Mercy Corps and Imperial Mercenary Corps

There are some amazing guilds in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I love the backstory most of these guilds create. This week is no exception. This guild, which is actually two guilds, has a very unique backstory that gives both factions the same roots. Before we go any further, let’s meet the guild leader of the Republic and Imperial sides. First off we have, Mark, who leads the RMC, and next Ryan, who presides over the sinister counterpart, the IMC. While they both collaborate on all overarching guilds decisions, they have found that by having each of them overseeing one faction each helps keep things less chaotic.

  • True Covenant – Galactic Republic guild

This weekend many of us were able to play a character in the beta testing for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Today’s Guild Checkpoint, we get to learn about a guild that does more than just play their characters, they roleplay. This week’s guild is True Covenant. So what kind of backstory does the guild have and what requirements are needed to be in this guild? We will find out these answers from one of True Covenant’s founding members, Brindan. As we go through the Q&A section, we get to know more how they roleplay and how might the Bioware storylines impact the roleplaying community.

  • Redeemed – Galactic Republic Guild

It was two weeks ago we met the Republic guild Condemned, and this week we find “redemption”, in the form of the Republic guild Redeemed. We get a chance to find out about this family-friendly PVE guild, that enjoys to role-play. How does the guild go about maintaining this mature guild environment and still focus on achieving PVE goals in operations, flashpoints, while most importantly having fun?  Calik is gracious enough to take time and answer a few questions and let us know more about the guild Redeemed.

More about Redeemed from Calik in Q&A after the Jump…
