Could it be? Game mechanics info! This week’s Friday Update comes from the Developer Blog and contains a fair amount of information on how the Advanced Class System will work. ACS will be able to “support several play-styles within each of those eight classes” offered to players. The blog goes on to examine the Smuggler up close, revealing new play-styles — Scrapper and Sawbones for the Scoundrel; Sharpshooter and Dirty Fighting for the Gunslinger; Luck bridges the gap between both sides. The article also discusses specific abilities such as “Shoot First,” available to Scoundrel AC. Read the full article here.
Nothing as menacing as an adorable little clown hat when you’re trying to teach a Sith apprentice his place! This week we discuss the last installment of Blood of the Empire, community polls, Jedi, and the Smuggler update bonanza. In other news, the millinery tomfoolery continues.
Fact or Fiction? (5:05) Can you pick out the confirmed fact from the tall tales?
The Smuggler class got a lotta love this week with a bonanza of Smuggler-related updates, including the Machinima video that was released last week. First up, the two Advanced Class specializations, Gunslinger and Scoundrel, have been added to the Holonet. Next, BioWare suggests you might want to play a Twi’lek Smuggler, officially adding our brain-tailed friends to the list of playable species.
Machinima posted this smokin’ trailer of the Smuggler struttin’, shootin’, ambushin’, stealthin’ and in general, being a bad-ass. Nice shots of the Smuggler ship and Ord Mantell. Could this be an early Friday Update leak?
It’s Harry Potter time! Between the Advanced Classes announcement and all the Gamescom coverage, there was tons o’ TOR-related news out there. We were almost defeated by the many, many interruptions that happened during the recording session (are monitors supposed to flash like lightning and then black out? Does that dog have to keep barking? Why is every one of these phone calls actually important?), but we persevered to bring you one of our most information-packed podcasts to date.
