Operation: Information – Nightmare Kephess Revisited

A couple of weeks ago I posted a strategy guide to the Nightmare Kephess encounter, but I thought this encounter warranted another look at it in detail. While every operation group is different, I’ll offer up some more insight on this fight and how we handled each phase for our operation composition. This was, by far, the most difficult encounter in the game to date and required different methods of handling each phase.

Operation: Information – Warlord Kephess Nightmare Mode Strategy Guide

Sometime in the future we’ll be doing this fight and wonder why we had so much trouble with it. Until that day comes, however, we continue to smash our face against this guy over and over again. The more information that is available, the more success guilds will have taking this guy down for the first time. For this reason I am presenting this strategy guide even though we haven’t gotten him down yet.

Kephess is back and uglier than ever! This encounter will test your operation group’s movement and positioning. I don’t feel this fight is as difficult as Kephess in Denova but it does offer up new mechanics which make this fight fun. He’s got a lot of health to burn through so you’ll have to take advantage of the local architecture and use it to your advantage in this encounter.

Operation: Information – Operator IX Hard Mode Strategy Guide

Among all the bosses in Terror From Beyond Hard Mode, I feel that the encounter with Operator IX requires the most coordination. The story mode version of this fight already has quite a few mechanics to deal with, but additional abilities and strict timers make this encounter even more complex in hard mode. Having a plan and a set rotation during the second phase is important if you plan to get past the puzzle boss of this latest operation.
