Serge Tries Not to See Red

Serge from SWTOR-Life joins us to discuss the latest updates and to give a “red zone” perspective on game release. The team comes closer than ever to losing Fact or Fiction. Kathy picks her Advanced Class based on outfits. Roxanne doesn’t understand mail. Serge doesn’t understand junk mail.

FACT OR FICTION: Can you pick out the confirmed fact from the tall tales? This week’s challenge concerns rep grinding, The Lost Suns, and PvP commendations.

Fan Fridays tend to be the red-headed stepchild of Friday Updates, but BioWare threw in several extra treats for the fans, including their 2011 convention schedule and a gorgeous screenshot of a Bounty Hunter doing what he does best: hunting.

SWTOR Hitting the Cons
BioWare announced several conventions they plan to attend in 2011: San Diego Comic Con, PAX, Eurogamer, New York Comic Con, Paris Games Week, and DreamHack.  Start making those travel plans!  Corellian Run Radio will be at PAX in August. Continue reading »

Kathy, Carla

[This is the fourth part of a series Kathy wrote about the Fan Site Summit held April 24-26.  This series focuses on the fun we had at the event and does not contain major reveals.  Please see the other content on our site for game analysis.]

Fansite Summit Recap, Part 1 here.
Fansite Summit Recap, Part 2 here.

[For more in-depth coverage of our gameplay, read Carla’s hands-on review of the Imperial Agent here.  Read my hands-on review of Bounty Hunter questing, general combat, and the Black Talon here.]

After finishing our interview with Georg, Carla and I eagerly returned to our computers to continue our origin worlds questing.

Want to find out what people thought of the April 5th UK gameplay event?  There are a couple places you can go.

Moon Over Endor’s lengthy article about Ayane’s experience, which included ninety-minutes of playing the Imperial Agent.

SWTOR-Life highlights several official forums posts and Tweets in their article about hands-on play.

Aartan Away includes the Q & A session at the end of their podcast.

Jono Bradley from Doghouse Gamer recorded the Q&A session with Daniel Erickson, Stephen Reid, and Gabe Amatangelo.  The audio is a little distorted, but worth a listen.  Partial transcript is provided.

Official forums thread, “Did you Play at the UK Community Event?  Post Your Impressions Here!”  Fair warning: a lot of extraneous people clutter up the thread with their chatter, but Allison Berryman has tried to put the actual impressions posts at the top of the thread.  TORLegends sums up the best bits here.
