This little droid has taken on a personality all his own due to the fact his memory has not been wiped since he was created over two centuries ago.   He doesn’t see himself as property, but more as an equal to his companions and owner.   T7-01 is a droid that you want by your side as you travel the galaxy.  Not only for the companionship, but he is quite the protector as well.
