  • Maven – Galactic Republic

Many of us are getting ready for June 26th so we can update to Patch 1.3. The big news is Ranked Warzones are coming to SWTOR in this patch (Many are saying, finally). It just so happens, as SWTOR is gearing up to make some needed improvements to PVP, this week’s guild’s focus is PVP.  Maven is a group of gamers that strive to excel and dominate in all aspects of PVP while being respectful and not acting like “elitist jerks.”

  • Methodical – Galactic Republic

I have had the great opportunity to interview several guilds that are a part of the Star Wars: The Old Republic community. This week is no exception as I had the chance to meet and get to know the guild Methodical. They are a mature guild that likes to balance gameplay with real life. Many guilds like to take this approach, the difference with Methodical is they are a very focused and dedicated progression guild. Yes, several guild talk progression, but Methodical is one of the guilds that truly backs it up with their kill list and not just clearing Operations they also go after each level of difficulty and timed runs. Do they focus on the hardcore side of SWTOR…yes, but they do keep the attitudes in check and work on enjoying the game and taking it to a very high level.

  • Order of Coruscant – Galactic Republic

Many stories of success start from meager beginnings and grow from there. We look at this week’s guild, Order of Coruscant and they are a perfect example. Order of Coruscant was started before the early release period with only single digit number of members. Since then the guild has grown into one of the larger Republic guilds on their server. What is their secret for growth in Star Wars: The Old Republic? We will look into this and also talk about their leadership, not to mention their extensive event calendar.

  • Defenders of The Faith – Galactic Republic

This week we get introduced to the guild, Defenders of The Faith. We will talk to their guild master, Velox and learn how they got their start, what their focus is on in SWTOR and we will even get to learn about some of their “unique” events (Cliff Jump anyone?). Just as diverse as the community itself, this guild has its own way of doing things, their own set of goals and rules, but yet their main focus is having fun!

  • Serenity – Galactic Republic

Meanings of words can be found in dictionaries, manuals or similar sources, but they can also be derived from association to a given feeling, memory or other personal experiences. Take for instance the name of this week’s guild, Serenity, it probably already has given you several different thoughts on the word. For me it happens to be a peaceful feeling and a particular starship. We will look at how the guild Serenity got its name, but more importantly how it allows them to keep a “peaceful” feeling in the guild while being highly competitive.
