The first quarter of this year has not been kind.  Plagued by family emergencies and technical issues, I’ve felt like I’m behind the 8-ball quite a few times.  The past two weeks have been no exception, dealing with some very harsh computer problems, both hardware and software.  And what better time for it to happen then when Legacy 1.2 goes live!  But enough about personal issues.  You’re here to read about Star Wars and what makes the universe we love to play TOR in, tick.

This week, we’re going to briefly jump into what is hopefully only a 2 part lore edition on the head of the Jedi Council in the game, Grand Master Satele Shan.  Follow me in after the jump and we’ll get to the meat-and-potatoes of this in-game babe.

Hello everyone and welcome to yet another episode of Force Lore.  This week, we’re starting to look at the Jedi and Sith.  We’ll touch on what drives each faction and the differences between the two.  Due to the large amount of info on each faction, I’ll have to break this up into a two-parter.

I’m giving a shout out to my nephew and my great nephew this week, both huge Star Wars fans.  My nephew, Derek, was involved in a very serious car accident a while back.  The Force was definitely with him, as he survived and is out of the hospital and at home recovering from injuries that were beyond life-threatening.  I liken it to either a manifestation of the Force that aided him in staying with us and overcoming a mortality rate of 90% or a Jedi Sage hiding in the bushes, providing some heals until he could be taken to the hospital.  Either way, it’s nothing short of a miracle that my family and I have more time with him and he can enjoy more Star Wars with his son, Kristopher.

On with the actual weekly installment!  Get ready and let’s jump onward!

Greetings Spacers!  Welcome to another installment of Force Lore.  This is a regular installment, unlike yesterday’s installment which was just a special edition.  Today we’re going to take a trip into the Deep Core region to the lost, then found, then lost, then found… You’ll get the picture… So where were we?  Oh yes.  We’re going to be traveling to the Deep Core to visit the history of one of the starting worlds in Star Wars: The Old Republic.  I’ll transmit the coordinates to your navicomputers and then we can make the jump.  Ready?  Engage!

It’s a big day for the eighth of Old Republic fans who plan on playing the Jedi Consular. Now that they’ve waited in excruciating pain every time the other seven class videos went up on the site, they find that the wait’s been worth it. In my opinion, the Consular class trailer is one of the best that Bioware’s made (but maybe that’s because the Consular fits my personality more than the Knight). It highlights the calm strength of the Consular both in combat and glimpses of story points, with narration that seems a bit less cheesy than the ones for some of the other classes.
