Friday Update: Alderaan Highlights

Daniel Erickson’s Gamespot interview gave us our first look at the group mission on Alderaan at E3. This week, BioWare prettied up the content to give it a more cinematic presentation in “Alderaan Highlights,” a video introduced by Dallas Dickinson. It’s interesting to note that this more cinematic version is pretty dang close to how it felt watching the actual gameplay — very exciting to think of that movie-like experience in an MMO. We were also pleased to hear Dallas say that this mission is one of “countless” group missions. With flashpoints, raids, and plenty of additional group content, BioWare is making good on its promise to give the fans a fully-fleshed out MMO with more than a dash of RPG.

E3: TORWars-CRR Interview with Daniel Erickson

The wonderful gentlemen at TORWars snagged an interview with Daniel Erickson for us at E3. While we would love to take credit for the terrific conversation Jeff Hollis and Daniel Erickson have, we can’t because this was a totally last-minute, big-hearted gesture on TORWars’ part. We can only take credit for choosing our SWTOR friends well.

E3: IGN Interview with Daniel Erickson

IGN interviewed Daniel Erickson today as their livestream event at 11 am Pacific. Daniel discussed multiplayer dialog, the Alderaan world arc boss fight, server types. Our favorite highlights:

Multiplayer dialog rolls will not always be a simple random roll. For the very important decisions, the party’s choice will be determined by a vote.
The Alderaan boss fight is the end of a ten-quest world arc.
On PvP servers, zones will feature free-for-all open world PvP.
Release date will probably be announced before pricing model details.
