We start off this week’s article with a bit of news from yesterday on the official game press release, after just about six weeks post-launch Star Wars: The Old Republic has sold over 2 million copies, with nearly 1.7 million of them as subscribers! That is just amazing to me. The article goes on to break down some of the “shocking” numbers reached at just past the one month marker:

Over 239 million in-game hours, this equals 332,000 months or roughly 27,000 years in-game time.
Over 20 billion NPCs killed (This includes the docile animals my nephew enjoys to target)
Over 148 billion credits spent (Most of my help in this was spending them on crew skills)

I don’t know about you, but to me those numbers are pretty hard to comprehend. All I know is that this game is beyond addictive and I just love it!

As many of us are downloading the latest fix – 1.1.0a, let’s take a look at a number of the things that came with patch 1.1. Yes, there were some issues on Ilum, but hopefully Bioware has corrected them. We will take a look at the new content in, “Rise of the Rakghouls” and also various fixes in the 1.1 patch. We will also look at James Ohlen’s point of view regarding this new content and what we can expect. There is also news from Courtney Woods regarding becoming founding members of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Today’s patch 1.0.2d is active and ready to download when you start launcher. Looks like there are fixes to some bugs on some Flashpoints and fixes to Eternity Vault Operation. We also have news about the 1.1 patch being released January 17^th, thanks to the folks over at Massively and their article with Gabe Amatangelo. By now many of you have been playing SWTOR and hopefully having as much fun as I have had so far. Despite a few minor issues with downtime for an extended maintenance, thus far, this has been a very smooth launch for such a huge game. Yes, there are still bugs and some issues needing to be patched, but all in all I feel it has gone well. What has your experience been like?
