Crimson Shadow Legion – Sith Empire

There are soo many different games and just as many type of guilds, it sometimes gets easy to feel lost in the shuffle. Some guilds are very driven and focus solely on being the very best, even if that means the cost of leaving some behind. On the other hand, there are some guilds that can be soo casual that many achievements are never reached. How is the best way to find a balance or is there even a way to strike a balance? This week we look at the guild, Crimson Shadow Legion. We will see how this multi-game guild strives to focus on finding the balance between casual and hardcore, as well as focusing on how to build strong ties and friendships to last beyond any one game.

For the longest time, all we knew about the Free-to-Play Option was it would be coming sometime this Fall. This week BioWare has shed a little light on the Cartel Coins current subscribers have or potentially will earn at the launch of the new Free-to-Play option. There have also been some updates to the Features page, which compares what will be offered to subscribers versus those using the Free-to-Play option.

Transcendence – Galactic Republic

There are many playstyles that make-up gamers, so it only stands to reason there are several types of guilds ranging from casual to hardcore. While some guilds completely roleplay in character there are others just out to have a party like time. There are guilds into PVE endgame progression and those who are fully focused on PVP. Not to mention the many who blur the lines between the many types of guilds. This week’s guild, Transcendence, leans to the full-tilt PVP side of SWTOR. We will find out their beginnings, why they favor PVP and also learn how they are doing as they attempt to venture into Operations.

By now many of us know Patch 1.4 had some troublesome bugs. It added some great content with the new Operation Terror From Beyond. Speaking of which, be sure to check out Ghoztt’s article on this new Operation’s Hardmode. Okay, back to the bugs, companions were refusing to hide their helmet. I mean one minute I would click for a companion to have it hidden and then get into a conversation and what do you know…their helmet is back on. My companion is just looking at me like nothing is going on, as if I cannot see the helmet covering their face. I see some of you out there think it was bad coding etc. Obviously, some of you didn’t read the patch notes from October the 9th.

Another week and that means it’s time to introduce another great guild. This week we get to meet and learn about the guild Pandamonium. Yes, that is spelled correctly and no, there are mentions of monks or any hints of mist to speak of. What this guild is about is having fun and staying fairly casual…as casual as a guild with 6 raiding teams can be. No, seriously this is a great bunch of gamers, who do keep it casual even if they do take pride in endgame content.
